New Beginnings

My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

New Beginnings

Begun in 2012 our New Beginnings furniture ministry is a direct outreach of LPUMC. Gathering once loved and gently used furniture & household items New Beginnings delivers needed furnishings to those who are rebuilding their lives, in the first place they can call their own after being displaced. Because of the generosity of our members, friends and an all volunteer staff we have, as of the end of our eighth year (May 2020) furnished approximately 700 apartments and touched the lives of over 1200 Individuals. God is Good!

Because of the threat of the COVID virus we are operating on a restricted schedule. Our ability to serve new tenants has been greatly reduced and our need for donations has slowed. If you have basic furniture items to donate use the link below to contact us and we’ll schedule a pickup according to our current need and available warehouse space.

For assistance or to make a donation, please contact the New Beginnings Help Desk at (314) 266-4328

Martha & Mary Circle

The Martha & Mary Circle was formed to support our New Beginnings furniture ministry. While New Beginnings delivers furniture to formerly displaced individuals and families, our Martha and Mary team works to supply basic and essential household items that help to make life more comfortable and homes more livable for those who have been without.

We are always looking for donations of new or gently used functional items for household use. Download the Martha & Mary brochure below for more information.
