Lafayette Park United Methodist Church is hosting a Confirmation class for youth interested in deepening their faith and becoming full members of the United Methodist Church. Classes will take place on Sunday afternoons from 2:30pm – 4:00pm starting on September 10 at LPUMC. We will break the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, and Easter. Confirmation Sunday, for those youth who complete the class and agree to be confirmed, will be Sunday April 7, 2024 at 9:30am.
This class will be led by Pastor Kathleen Wilder, Church Council President Jon Copeland, and youth volunteers Eric and Courtney Hucker. We will also include some guest speakers both laity and ordained. The curriculum we will follow is Cokesbury Confirm. Students will be provided with necessary materials at no cost. Parents/guardians are welcome to order their own copy of the Parent Guide if they choose.
